V A I D Case Study

"It’s been exciting to look at unrenovated properties and to show potential clients the possibilities for change. Our ability to provide virtually renovated images along with conceptual floor plans has proven incredibly powerful. At the end of the day, clients want information and they want to be inspired. VAID allows us to do both." 52 Park Avenue marked the beginning of VAID. In this case, the buyer proceeded to renovate the apartment to align with the VAID proposal.

52 Park Ave Case Study

INITIAL PHOTO  |  VIRTUAL  RENDERING  |  COMPLETED RENOVATION

Kitchen

The existing kitchen was spacious but dated. Our VAID rendering shows the functional and aesthetic value of adding a central island to the kitchen. The final physically renovated kitchen aligns almost exactly with our V A I D renovation. We believe in proposing virtual renovations that are fully realizable.

Living Room

The existing living room had nice light but a cramped layout. Our VAID rendering illustrated how the space could be transformed into a dining and living room. The renovated apartment attests to the importance of an expertly designed floor plan and to the potential of strategic demolition.

Entryway

The original entryway was clean but lacked character. Through simple changes to the lighting and furniture, we created a strong focal point opposite the elevators in our VAID rendering and subsequent renovation.

Guest Bathroom

With an eye towards budget and time constraints, we proposed VAID updates to the guest bathroom that maintained the existing fixture locations while drastically changing the feel of the bathroom with material, fixture and fitting adjustments. The renovated apartment stays true to the original rendering.

Guestroom / Home Office

Our original VAID rendering illustrated the possibility of creating a true two-bedroom. The client chose to ultimately build an office/guest room that maximizes the use of the small space.

Master Bedroom

Our VAID listing showed how appropriately scaled artwork and rugs could transform the feel of the bedroom. Although we shifted the material palette to better suite our client's taste, the renovated master suite realized our initial intention of creating bedrooms that feel as luxurious as the main living spaces.

Master Bath

Our VAID rendering shows the potential of adding a double sink and dramatically changing the look of the master bath. Although our client ultimately chose not to shift the fixtures, we were able to capture the same minimal sensibility through careful material and fixture choices.
